Donald Trump has proudly announced his “big win” in Georgia’s Republican presidential primary. The primary in question will not occur for nine whole months.
A Pro-Trump Poll
On social media, Trump shared the results of a poll showing a strong lead for the criminal defendant – 57% of the support from respondents. Ron DeSantis came in second place with 15% and former Vice President Mike Pence trailed in third at 4%.
A Big Win
Trump wrote: “Wow! A big win in Georgia for President Trump! Georgia, which is absolutely a Republican state – I have no doubt about it, bad things happened – is showing up big. They demand accountability and they demand it now. So sad what has happened to one of the greatest places on Earth. But we will win in 2024.”
A Failing Nation
The criminal defendant continued: “Georgia will lead the way. I believe Georgia’s gonna lead the way and we will make America great again. We have to take back our country – 2024, the most important election, maybe, that this country has ever had because our country’s going bad. We’re a failing nation. Georgia is going to lead the way. You watch. Thank you very much.”
Election Interference in Georgia
The former president is currently accused of election interference in Georgia. In 2020, he phoned Georgia’s secretary of state, urging for more Republican votes to be magically found to ensure his win.
Trump’s Four Indictments
Overall, Trump is facing four indictments. One for the aforementioned Georgia situation, one federal election interference case, one in regard to stolen classified documents, and one regarding hush money payments he made to Stormy Daniels.

News of Trump’s social media celebration was shared across the internet and people flocked to comment sections to give their views. For the most part, people criticized him – but that didn’t stop his fans from popping up every now and then to fight back.

He only pretends to be confident so he can indoctrinate his cult members into believing he’ll definitely win. Then when he doesn’t win, the only explanation to them is that the election was stolen.”

Others discussed Trump and cognitive issues. “It amuses me that many of the same people who harp on Biden’s cognitive issues – some of which are admittedly valid – don’t bat an eye when this dude says stuff on a regular basis that makes absolutely no sense,” one individual wrote.

Republicans criticized the former president too. One said: “I hate that I’m a registered Republican with the way the party is now. Trump belongs in prison for what he has done. Could you imagine what they would be saying if a Dem did the things he has done?”

Others referenced the 14th Amendment in how it may bar Trump from running for office. “[This poll] will not help him when he is found guilty of crimes, especially those related to Jan 6th. The Constitution will then block him from holding any office,” one person wrote.

Another MAGA Republican wrote: “President Trump has every right to celebrate a poll win like he would any other win! Radical Dems will find anything to criticize and use as an excuse to spread their lies, propaganda, and hatred.”

“Trump is the 21st century Jesus. Persecuted for his beliefs. A man of the people! MAGA,” another Trump supporter wrote. “Trump is nowhere near Jesus. Trump is not being persecuted for his beliefs. He is being prosecuted for his beliefs because he believes the laws do not apply to him,” another individual hit back.
A Fascist Cult
But for the most part, people criticized Trump and the GOP. “The former Republican Party has become a fascist cult with a cult leader who has one goal – protect himself from justice. The cult leader has become holy and infallible and the cult believes in any lies and evil conspiracies he comes up with. They will all follow him off the cliff,” one person said.
