“He Who Shall Not Be Named!”: Trump Compares Himself to Lord Voldemort While Fuming Over Fox News Hosts

Donald Trump, the former president, recently slammed Fox News and expressed his dissatisfaction at the network for allegedly refusing to acknowledge him on social media.

Truth Social Merger Faces an Uncertain Future

Though hardly startling coming from the previous president, the claims exposed the continuing dispute between Trump and the conservative news outlet. With both sides being able to revoke the deal, the extremely acrimonious merger between Truth Social and the Trump media behemoth, however, has an unclear future.

Israeli Warfare Sparks Trump’s Outburst

Trump said that Fox & Friends’ anchors disregarded his achievements. According to Raw Story, Trump became enraged due to the network’s coverage of the latest Israeli military action in the Middle East. When previous presidents George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan were discussing their historical counterterrorism achievements, Trump became irate because his name was omitted.

Trump expressed his frustration on his Truth Social platform, saying, “This morning, Fox & Friends said that there was a strict program against terrorists under Ronald Reagan and George Bush (which one?). They are incorrect about Bush, but they forgot about “TRUMP,” who eliminated ISIS, al-Baghdadi, Soleimani, and all the other opponents of justice and peace.”

Although Trump’s assertion that he would eradicate “everyone else” is questionable, his frustration at not receiving credit for his counterterrorism efforts provides insight into his continuous pursuit of acceptance and admiration. The former president made more allusions to Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter novels, implying that Fox News had handled him like “he-who-shall-not-be-named.”

“Next Time Maybe They Could Ask Their Bosses’ Permission to Use My Name”

Trump attempted to assign responsibility to retiring Representative Paul Ryan (R-WI), a member of the Fox Corporation Board of Directors. Trump claims that the network needs to get his approval before mentioning him in any broadcasts. “Maybe they could ask their Bosses, like RINO Paul RINO, for permission to use my name next time,” he said. The good news is that people actually comprehend, according to polls.”

Is Fox News Switching Sides?

The most recent outburst highlights the tense relationship that existed between Trump and Fox News—a network that was previously seen to be a reliable partner. A portion of the network’s audience has expressed dissatisfaction with what they perceive to be a departure from steadfast backing for the previous president.

The long-delayed and controversial merger between Truth Social and the Trump Media & Technology Group has taken an unexpected turn. According to a recent regulatory filing, both merger parties now have the option to call it quits between October 31 and November 21, CNN reported. For the same reasons, Trump Media has the same amount of time to terminate the arrangement. Since the motivations for this modification to the merger agreement are still unclear, conjecture is allowed.

Lawsuit Reveals Fox News Employees Didn’t Buy Trump’s Theories

Text conversations between Fox News employees that demonstrate they didn’t buy Trump’s theories, while pushing them to their audience, were made public in a new lawsuit filed in February 2023. Confusion surrounds the 2020 presidential election conspiracy theories, according to Fox commentators Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, and Sean Hannity. That is, at least, what their own words say in recently discovered texts made public by a $1.6 billion lawsuit brought against the network.

Fox News Sued for Its Role in Propagating the Conspiracy Theories

Naturally, the idea was disproved in court since it was untrue. Following that, Dominion launched a defamation action against the two and a hefty $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News for lying to its audience and spreading conspiracy theories.

“Sidney Powell Is a Bit Nuts”: Fox News’ Hosts Trio Texts

Numerous Fox employees—some even from inside their own ranks—were found to have voiced their concerns about conspiracy theories and their proponents in the most recent lawsuit filing. “Sidney Powell is lying,” Carlson said to Alex Pfeiffer, his producer. “Sidney Powell is a bit nuts,” Ingraham texted Carlson and Hannity. “Sorry but she is.” Hannity referred to the hypotheses and the Fox guests endorsing them as “lunatics.”

Fox News Hosts’ Trio Complain About Reporter Jacqui Heinrich in Snarky Group Chat

Furthermore, while appearing to comprehend the ridiculousness of these assertions—as much as a fifth grader could—the trio’s hands remained quite filthy. In a group conversation on November 12, 2020, the three expressed their displeasure with Fox reporter Jacqui Heinrich for fact-checking a Trump tweet referencing Hannity and Lou Dobbs’s Dominion shows. Heinrich only brought attention to the statement made by election officials that there was no proof of voting machine problems. Simple enough, really.

“Now This BS? Nope. Not Gonna Fly.”

“Please get her fired. Seriously. I’m actually shocked,” Carlson said to Hannity. Hannity said that Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott had previously received Henrich’s fact-check. He went on, “I’m 3 strikes. Wallace debate[.] Election night a disaster[.] Now this? Nope. Not gonna fly. Did I mention Cavuto?”

How Much Does Fox Care About Delivering News to the Nation?

In the end, the messages show how little Fox really cares about breaking news, or about the fallout from that lack of concern (such as a riot in the Capitol). Furthermore, it demonstrates how little concern the showrunners have for their audience—even if they are aware that they are giving their viewers “bs.”

“Can’t Make People Think We’ve Turned Against Trump”

“We’re threading a needle that has to be threaded because of the dumb ***** at Fox on Election Day,” stated a text message sent by Fox producer Justin Wells to Carlson’s producer. “We can’t make people think we’ve turned against Trump. Yet also call out the ********. You and I see through it. But we have to reassure some in the audience.”
