“Kim Kardashian Saved My Life”: TikToker Claims Kim K Stopped Her Bleeding Out

There’s no doubt that, on occasion, miracles occur. From narrowly avoiding being in the wrong place at the wrong time, to recovering from a terminal diagnosis, thousands of people have an inexplicable story to tell – including a TikToker called Angelina Wiley, who claimed a bodysuit from Kim Kardashian’s clothing line saved her life after she was shot.

Angelia explained that if she hadn’t been wearing a bodysuit from Kim Kardashian’s clothing line, her injuries could’ve been much worse. She said: “Kim Kardashian saved my life. This New Year’s, I got shot four times. The night I got shot, under my dress, I was wearing a SKIMS shaping bodysuit. It was so tight on me that it literally kept me from bleeding out.”

The Victim Discussed Empowerment

The TikToker went on to touch on women’s empowerment, comparing the bodysuit to “armor” for women. She highly recommended the bodysuit, admitting she intends on buying more. The TikToker even said, following the shooting, that she’d have to start wearing them everyday.

Angelina’s video didn’t go unnoticed by Kim Kardashian herself, who reposted the TikTok on Instagram. The businesswoman, media personality, and socialite wrote “wowww” as a caption and accompanied it with praying hand emojis. Since the TikTok went viral, a GoFundMe has been set up to help Angelina, who still has a bullet lodged in her abdomen, recover.

Angelina’s Comments Were Full of Sympathy

Angelina’s commenters, for the most part, sympathized with her and wished her well. “Hope you’re doing okay. I know how hard this is mentally to get through,” one person commented. A plethora of comments echoed them, wishing the TikToker well despite her cheery demeanor in the video.

Several commenters expressed shock. “That’s actually incredible. Glad to see you’re okay,” one person said, leaving a heart emoji at the end of their comment. Aside from well-wishes and expressions of astonishment, the most frequent comments were those informing Angelia that Kim had shared her video.

Angelina’s Followers Called for Kim to Give Her a SKIMS Sponsorship

A plethora of commenters called for Kim Kardashian to give Angelina a sponsorship deal with the clothing line – SKIMS. “If this doesn’t get you a SKIMS sponsorship, I don’t know what will,” one TikTok user said. Numerous commenters posted similar things, with several people even tagging Kim Kardashian.

Angelina Posted Another Video About the Shooting Incident

Due to popular demand, Angelina posted a follow-up video where she told the story of the shooting in more detail. In the clip, she explained that she went to a club with some friends. Their lift was taking a while to arrive and they were hungry – so they crossed the street to get some food, which is when they noticed a group of people fighting. A man in a mask appeared and started shooting. The TikToker was shot “pretty much immediately” but it was a while before she noticed.

Some Redditors Didn’t Care for the Story

Before long, Angelina’s story made its way to Reddit where – unlike in her TikTok comments – not everyone cared for it. “Not to be callous but I could have gone the rest of my life without knowing this person was shot, that she was wearing Kim’s clothes, and that Kim noticed,” one Redditor said.

Other Redditors Expressed Doubt

There are a lot of lies on the internet, and, as such, some Redditors thought Angelina’s story was fake. “Nothing on the internet is real and that goes double for TikTok,” one individual said, gaining nine upvotes. Others echoed the comment, with one person saying they wished Angelina showed the bodysuit in the video as proof.

Others Discussed Violence, and Arms Laws, in the US

While most online commenters talked about the story at hand, others took the opportunity to highlight the United States’ gun violence problem. Some individuals pointed out how scary it is that Angelina now believes she should wear a bodysuit every single day – but it’s no wonder. With over 200 mass shootings having occurred in the country so far this year, and over 45,000 people having died from gun-related injuries in the country in 2021, it’s easy to see where she’s coming from.

The US Has More Arms Than Any Other Country

A 2017 study found that US civilians held an average of 120.5 firearms per 100 people. The country was followed by Yemen (with 52.8 per 100 people), Montenegro (with 39.1 per 100 people), Serbia (also with 39.1 per 100 people), and Uruguay (with 34.7 per 100 people).  Not only does this put the US at the top of the world, it means the country is the only one on Earth with more guns than civilians.
