Trump gave a speech at the same event and then hosted a commit to caucus event at Stoney’s Rockin’ Country, which is located down the Vegas Strip from the Venetian Conference Center. Despite their severe falling out in the closing days of 2020, Trump stated in his second speech of the day that the former vice president should now support his bid for a third term as president.

“You know, people are leaving now, and they’re all endorsing me,'” Trump stated. “I don’t know about Mike Pence. He should endorse me, you know why? Because I had a great successful presidency and he was the vice president,” the former president further remarked. “He should enforce me. I chose him, made him vice president. But people in politics can be very disloyal. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Pence clarified that the reason he started his campaign in the first place was because the United States has “a lot of trouble.” But he asserted that now was not the moment for him to provide assistance. Pence concluded his speech at the Venetian Conference Center on the Las Vegas Strip by saying, “The Bible tells us that there’s a time for every purpose under heaven.”
