A study from the University of California at Davis concluded that John Quincy Adams had the highest IQ of any president. His runners-up were Thomas Jefferson, John F. Kennedy, and Bill Clinton.

The aforementioned study took place before Trump’s presidency. As such, he wasn’t included. Regardless, plenty of people have attempted to rank Trump’s IQ and fit him into the results, with some even estimating it to be as high as 156. Regardless, the claim is unverified and lacks evidence.
A Proper IQ Test
As fun as speculating can be, the only thing that will reveal Trump’s true IQ to the public is a proper IQ test. But even if that were to happen, it wouldn’t necessarily tell us much about his overall intelligence.

Trump’s alleged intelligence is something that’s been discussed and debated a lot in recent years, especially on social media. One online commenter said: “His IQ is not high. Just listen to the way he talks. He has no grasp of issues or ideas.”

Quite a few people said that true geniuses never brag about it. One such individual wrote: “Truly wealthy people never brag about their wealth. Truly intelligent people never brag about their IQs. Truly generous people never brag about their generosity.”
Trump’s Failed Businesses
For the most part, people said the former president’s IQ was likely average at best. “Looking at Trump’s record of multiple failed and fraudulent businesses, a crippling presidency, his lack of coherent and proper speaking… his IQ is not high at all,” one person commented.

But some people did say Trump might be a genius in his own unique way: “He is an unmatched genius. He has 74 million very stupid people following him and [made them] believe the world is made of pixie dust and candy unicorns.”

Plenty of commenters pointed to the criminal defendant’s inability to form complete sentences. One such individual said: “If he really was a genius, he would show the world his proof. One more lie he is trying to feed the public. Just listening to him talk tells you otherwise.”
An IQ of 85
People gave their own IQ estimates for Trump… and they weren’t generous. One person wrote: “Trump’s IQ is 85 at best. He’s got enough to just about function… but that’s it. He’s only rich because of inheritance and everything he’s tried to do himself has failed.”
IQ and Wealth
Others compared Trump’s IQ to his wealth: “His IQ is much like his wealth. When he needs to brag about it or flaunt it, he greatly inflates it. But when push comes to shove and he has to demonstrate it, it is much less than anyone would expect.”

One commenter was much harsher with their words.
