Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has said that “we have a huge problem on our hands.” He also claimed that there may be “a criminal family sitting in the White House.”
The Bribery Scheme
Gingrich made the remarks following the release of an FBI informant file discussing the Biden family’s alleged $10 million bribery scheme. “What this says to me is that it’s very possible that there was a direct payment to the then-vice president,” Gingrich said.
Taking Money From Foreigners
Gingrich continued: “At some point, the dam is going to break and even The New York Times and The Washington Post are going to recognize that we have a huge problem on our hands. We may have a criminal family sitting in the White House that took money from foreigners in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Romania, Russia, and China.”
Huge National Security Implications
Allegedly, the newly released FBI document discusses an interview in which an informant made serious allegations about the Biden family. “Now, that’s a pretty sobering comment that has huge national security implications and also just basic honesty implications,” Gingrich said.
Lacking a Full Picture
Senator Chuck Grassley, who made the FD-1023 FBI informant public, said: “Congress still lacks a full and complete picture with respect to what that document really says. That’s why it’s important that the document be made public without unnecessary redactions for the American people to see.”
Seventeen Audio Recordings
Grassley continued: “Let me assist for purposes of transparency. The 1023 [form] produced to that House committee redacted reference that the foreign national who allegedly bribed Joe and Hunter Biden allegedly has audio recordings of his conversations with them. Seventeen total recordings.”
The Justice Department
The senator added: “As I’ve repeatedly asked since going public with the existence of 1023, what – if anything – has the Justice Department and FBI done to investigate? The Justice Department and FBI must show their work. They no longer deserve the benefit of the doubt.”
Investigating Donald Trump
Grassley concluded: “It’s clear that the Justice Department and FBI will use every resource to investigate candidate Trump, President Trump, and former President Trump. Based on the facts known to Congress and the public, it’s clear that the Justice Department and FBI haven’t nearly had the same laser focus on the Biden family.”

News of Gingrich’s claims was shared across the internet and, for the most part, people criticized and condemned him. Plenty of commenters said that the Trumps were the real crime family. Others blamed the former speaker for the state of politics today.

Also agreeing with the previously mentioned pair, another commenter wrote: “The criminal family was firmly removed from the White House in a landslide election in 2020. Now, the consequences for that family are coming due.”

Others called out hypocrisy within the GOP: “Yet nobody in the GOP cared the tiniest bit about Ivanka’s China business or Jared getting money from Qatar to save his family’s New York high rise from foreclosure… or the million ways Donald used his position as president to make money. Corruption only applies to Democrats, even if they are private citizens when the alleged corrupt acts take place. The GOP is a clown show today.”

Others pointed out the absurd nature of the situation: “Sure, we got one guy with four indictments and 91 charges but let’s focus on the guy in the White House with zero indictments and zero charges.”
