It’s possible that Lake stepped in to make her speech after Mike Pence canceled his appearance. She said: “I really should also thank the man who didn’t show up tonight – Mike Pence. I hope I’m not being controversial but my man is Donald J. Trump.”

Reportedly, some MAGA Republicans responded with calls for violence. “We need to start killing these traitorous stains,” one person said, according to Vice News. Another wrote: “It’s not going to stop until bodies start stacking up. We are not civilly represented anymore and they’ll come for us next. Some of us, they already have.”
Unwavering Support for Trump
Lake had directed her message at Merrick Garland, Jack Smith, and Joe Biden. Later, she posted to social media about the matter. “I meant what I said,” she wrote. It’s clear that the former news anchor is hoping her unwavering support of criminal defendant Trump will reward her with the vice presidential slot on the former president’s ticket.
