“Closer to Third World War Than We’ve Ever Been”
A third global war is looming, according to former President Donald Trump, as a result of the invasion of Israel. Just hours after Hamas’ assault of the nation began, Trump issued his warning during a campaign speech in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Saturday. Trump informed the audience that “World War III is closer than it has ever been.” “And I’m the only one that will prevent World War III.”
“A War the World Has Never Seen Before”
Trump continued by claiming that because of advances in weaponry, such a conflict would be the worst the world has ever seen. “That won’t be a war with army tanks going back and forth, too,” Trump stated. “That will be a war with weaponry the likes of which this world has never seen before … I know it. I know it better than anybody.”
“An Act of Savagery That Must and Will Be Crushed.”
With 100 days before the Iowa caucuses, Trump told supporters in Waterloo and Cedar Rapids that if he were president, Hamas’ weekend attack against Israel would not have happened. He called it “an act of savagery that must and will be crushed.”
“US Would Respond to Russia Real Hard”
He also reaffirmed his assertion that if he had been president, Vladimir Putin’s Russia would not have invaded Ukraine, relating a discussion in which he described Putin and him as “good friends” but warned that the United States would react to Russia “real hard.”
Trump Recounts Abraham Accords Proposal
When discussing the Abraham Accords, a peace plan between the two brokered by the United States, Trump described the strategy his administration has used in dealing with Israeli-Palestinian relations. The Golan Heights region was also acknowledged by his government as Israeli sovereignty, making it the first nation to do so (the world community views it as Israeli territory occupied by Syria).

“Everybody said, ‘When will you get the Nobel Peace Prize?'” he said. The exact reverse is happening right now, with a significant onslaught on Israel. How different can a president really be? Trump acted out discussions with China, Russia, and other countries as he recalled many meetings he had with foreign leaders while serving as president.

Trump stated of Putin’s response to his concerns regarding Ukraine: “He believed me 10%.” “And that’s all you needed. Same with President Xi (Jinping) and China.” Additionally, he made fun of President Joe Biden’s stance on world issues, notably his comments on the incident in Israel. “It wasn’t Winston Churchill, let me put it that way,” Trump stated.
Trump Brands Indictments Against Him “Fake,” “Phony” and “Political”
Over the last month, Trump has traveled to eastern Iowa many times in an effort to solidify his advantage before the first-in-the-nation caucuses. He has courted farmers, promoted new immigration legislation, and attacked both his Republican and Democratic rivals. Despite his ongoing legal issues, the former president is still the Republican front-runner in both Iowa and nationwide. On Saturday, he continued to make fun of his judicial proceedings, labeling the four charges against him as “fake,” “phony,” and “political.”

He didn’t get indicted four times, only once.” He also reaffirmed his position on abortion, adding that you need to have the “three exceptions” – exclusions for rape, incest, and mother’s life — in order to succeed. And once more, he claimed credit for the appointment of pro-life justices to the Supreme Court, which helped to overturn Roe.
“Biden Has Caused the War With His Stupidity”
On both the national and international stages, the former president attacked President Joe Biden’s leadership, claiming that he “caused the war with his stupidity.” Trump cited a number of acts taken by the Biden administration, such as low border restrictions and voter identification legislation, as contributing factors.
Biden Accused of Fueling Hamas’ Attack
Biden has been charged with supporting the Hamas attack on Israel on several occasions. Over the weekend, a number of Republican contenders for president brought up his recent release of $6 billion in prohibited Iranian assets in exchange for the release of five Americans who were jailed there, alleging that the money enabled the assault.
“Too Early to Say Whether Iran Was Involved”
The charges have been refuted by the White House, which asserts that Iran hasn’t yet used the money from the prisoner swap. It is “too early to say” whether Iran was “directly involved in planning or supporting” the attack by Hamas, a senior Biden official stated on Sunday. The diplomat did mention Iran’s links to Hamas, though.
