Despite facing almost 100 felony charges, Trump managed to find time to triumph in a golf tournament. Speaking on social media, he wrote: “I am pleased to report, for those that care, that I just won the Senior Club Championship (must be over 50 years old!) at Bedminster (Trump National Golf Club), shooting a round of 67.”
Trump Is No Stranger to Controversy
Trump is no stranger to controversy, having been impeached twice and indicted four times – two of which are linked to alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election. He wrote: “Now, some people will think that sounds low. Many people watch, plus I am surrounded by Secret Service Agents. Not much you can do even if you wanted to, and I don’t.”

In a departure from his usual angry social media demeanor, the former president concluded his post on a different note. He wrote: “For some reason, I am just a good golfer/athlete – I have won many Club championships and it’s always a great honor!”

He previously secured the Senior Club Championship at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, though he didn’t participate in the first round. “Competed against many fine golfers and was hitting the ball long and straight,” he boasted.

Drawing a parallel between his golf wins and the demands of leadership, Trump said: “The reason that I announce this is that, in a very real way, it serves as a physical exam, only much tougher. You need strength and stamina to win [and] I have strength [and] stamina – most others don’t. You also need strength [and] stamina to govern!”

Aside from his golfing achievements, Trump has also undergone noticeable physical changes. According to records from Fulton County Jail, he’s shed 25 pounds. However, he also reportedly gained an inch in height since he was booked in Manhattan, which obviously drew remarks of disbelief.
His Campaign’s Alleged Financial Success
Despite his legal challenges, Trump’s election campaign has reported financial success. It claims to have raised over $7 million following his police mugshot in Atlanta, Georgia. Moreover, the BBC reported a campaign fundraising achievement of over $20 million since his indictment in Fulton County.

Trump’s boastful words were shared across the internet and responses were divided. Some people agreed that being good at golf means one has the strength and stamina required to lead the country. Others found it to be a ridiculous statement and accused the former president of unnecessarily bragging about something virtually insignificant.

One such individual wrote: “Trump also claimed to be an all-star baseball player in high school at the same time he had bone spurs so bad he couldn’t be in the military.
