The president and Harris both believe that the United States should support the two democracies under attack—Ukraine and Israel. She stated that Ukraine is not neglected in light of the Middle East conflict.

The Palestinians deserve equal measures of safety and security, self-determination and dignity, and we have been very clear that the rules of war must be adhered to and that there be humanitarian aid that flows.”

She said that although it’s tough, the United States wants to prevent the crisis from getting worse. During the last two weeks, Iranian-backed militias have opened fire on U.S. soldiers stationed in Iraq and Syria, while Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen, both Iranian proxies, have launched drones, rockets, and missiles on Israel.
America’s Response to Iran’s Attacks
The United States retaliated by conducting attacks on Iranian military installations in Syria. The Pentagon has also sent two menacing aircraft carrier strike groups to the area as if that wasn’t enough of a warning to Iran and other enemies.
