“How Can Anyone Support This Idiot?”: Trump Goes on Intense Tirade Against Former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly

Criminal defendant Donald Trump is no stranger to controversy. Now, he’s launched a hash, unapologetic attack on former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.

Trump’s comments came shortly after Kelly expressed criticism of the former president’s attitudes regarding members of the U.S. military. In response to said criticism, Trump took to social media to mock Kelly’s intelligence, stating that he believed the former chief of staff was “by far the dumbest” of his military advisors.

Trump accused Kelly of being part of the “radical left.” Moreover, he claimed he was spreading lies about Gold Star Families and soldiers. The former president asserted that Kelly was incapable of doing a good job and had to be fired.

The former president wrote: “He was incapable of doing a good job. It was too much for him and I couldn’t stand the guy, so I fired him like a dog. He had no heart or respect for people, so I hit him hard – made no difference to me.”

Small Brain, Big Mouth

Trump continued his tirade, labeling Kelly as a “lowlife” and further criticizing his intellect. He claimed the former chief of staff had a “very small brain and a very big mouth” before bringing up Kelly’s wife’s alleged statements.

The criminal defendant wrote: “He’s a lowlife with a very small brain and a very big mouth. Interestingly, before firing him, his wife, who suffered a lot, told me he would never speak badly about President Trump.”

A New Trump Administration

Trump continued: “Wrong! Did he totally lie about another lowlife, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson? Let them fight that one out themselves. Numerous people are angry and upset because they know they will never be in a new Trump Administration – but only for one reason, they’re not nearly good enough. Kelly would be among those at the top of the list.”

John Kelly’s recent criticisms, which prompted this heated response from Trump, revolved around a broad critique of the former president’s character. He said Trump is “a person who is not truthful regarding his position on the protection of unborn life, on women, on minorities, on evangelical Christians, on Jews, on working men and women.”

Contempt for Democratic Institutions

Kelly accused Trump of having nothing but contempt for democratic institutions, the U.S. Constitution, and the rule of law. He expressed a terrible concern for the state of the nation and concluded: “There is nothing more that can be said. God help us.”

The Internet’s Response

News of Trump’s tirade was shared across the internet and, for the most part, social media commenters condemned him. One individual wrote: “If everybody who’s worked for him is the dumbest in their job, he must be the king of dummies.”

An Embarrassment to the U.S.

Another person said: “As a Vietnam era veteran, lifelong Republican until Trump came on the scene, and now an independent, Trump as POTUS and his disrespect for our men and women in uniform, our veterans, and the other pillars of our democracy makes me ill. He is an embarrassment to our country.”

Evil Always Goes Down

Others found it hypocritical that the former president would insult someone else’s intelligence: “Trump should look in the mirror before attacking someone else besides himself. Evil always goes down. A fact of life.”

The Insurrectionist Traitors

Another commenter wrote: “Keep in mind, a minority of insurrectionist traitors who claim to love the military and describe themselves as ‘patriots’ still support Trump and every vile thing coming out of his constantly puckered yap.”

Trump Is Predictable

Quite a few people addressed the former president’s tendency to attack people who used to work for him. One person said: “Trump said, in 2016, he would only hire the best. Then, when they turned out to be more loyal to our country and the Constitution, he fired them and trashed them on social media.”

Others implied that the criminal defendant will soon be in prison: “These valiant people weren’t Trump’s to own. He doesn’t realize how wrong he is but he’ll have plenty of time to think it over soon.”

Trump’s a Baby

One person compared Trump and his followers to babies. They wrote: “It never ceases to amaze me how Trump’s cult members think he is funny when calling people names. It’s like they have the common decency of an infant!”

An American Hero

Another commenter wrote: “I am surprised that Kelly lasted as long as he did. He only stuck around to be the adult in the room when dealing with this buffoon. He is an American hero for standing up to this wannabe dictator who did not know the limits of presidential authority.”

Trump Has No Loyalty

People didn’t understand how anyone could still support the former president after everything he’s said and done. “How can anyone support this idiot? He has no loyalty. When anything happens, it’s never Trump’s fault. He throws everyone, including his son, under the bus,” one person said.

Donald Trump’s Hypocrisy
