“Donald Doesn’t Think Like a Normal Human”: Trump’s Ex-Lawyer Slams Former President’s Lack of Intelligence

Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, has warned co-defendants in the Georgia RICO case that the potential felon might use them as scapegoats. Moreover, he’s claimed that Trump does not think like an average human.

A Worrisome Warning

Cohen issued a stark, worrisome warning to the co-defendants in which he said that Trump doesn’t care about them and will happily throw them under the bus if necessary. “Donald doesn’t care about you. He doesn’t care about you one bit. He will use you as the scapegoat and the system will use you as the scapegoat in order to get somebody,” he said.

Cohen Had More to Say

Trump’s former lawyer continued, further elaborating on his point. “Prosecutors will get them to turn because these three could easily end up in the same situation I ended up in and I can promise you something – it’s not fun. Exactly what happened to me is going to happen to all 18 of the co-indicted defendants,” he said, presumably referring to Trump’s attorneys – Rudy Giuliani and John Eastman – and his former Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows.

From Closest Confidant to Loudest Critic

The Hill, a political digital media company, talked about how Cohen changed his stance on Trump and began assisting New York prosecutors in investigating falsified business records related to hush money payments for the former president’s alleged affairs. “Once one of the former president’s closest confidants, he has since become one of his loudest critics,” they said.

MSNBC asked Cohen whether Georgia co-conspirators who want a speedy trial have something on Trump. In response, he said: “Donald doesn’t think like a normal human being. He doesn’t see, for example, a trial that is coming up. He doesn’t see it. It’s an eternity away.”

Cohen Had More to Say

Cohen went on to express his disapproval of the treatment Trump received when being taken to Fulton County Jail. He criticized the numerous motorcades, likening it to a triumphant procession. He argued that such lavish treatment was inappropriate and a waste of taxpayer money. “For this man to roll up like he’s, you know, Caesar coming through the gates of Rome after victory. He is an indicted defendant on 91 counts. He should not be given this sort of royal treatment,” he said.

Trump’s an Idiot

Days before the aforementioned MSNBC interview, Cohen spoke to CNN. The former lawyer questioned Trump’s intelligence and claimed he hasn’t yet learned not to throw “your lawyer, your doctor, and your mechanic” under the bus. “Donald’s an idiot,” he proclaimed.

Trump Disgraced the Office

News of Cohen’s words was shared across the internet and people flocked to comment sections to give their opinions. “Let’s take a moment to appreciate that Cohen does us all a service by always calling him ‘Donald.’ I’m tired of everyone referring to this criminal as ‘President Trump.’ He’s not the president, he disgraced the office, and at most he should be called ‘Mr. Trump’ by the press and prosecutors,” one person wrote.

A Valuable Tool

Some commenters criticized Cohen for his previous affiliation with the former president but others hit back with credible defenses. One such individual wrote: “While he shouldn’t be celebrated, the fact Trump’s former lawyer is speaking out against him can be a valuable tool to pull people out of the cult. Not going to say it will change a lot of minds but if it changes a few it is still worth putting it out there.”

Others Responded With Sarcasm

A fair few commenters responded sarcastically. “Oh, an idiot is he? Thanks for that useful insight,” one person wrote. “Trump’s an idiot? I had no idea! This changes everything,” another echoed. “Trump? An idiot? No way!” a third individual exclaimed.

Trump Needs Unquestioned Loyalty

Some commenters seemingly thought the co-defendants deserve to be thrown under the bus. One wrote: “These people risked it all to be part of Trump’s illegal effort to overturn the election and that is what Trump requires – unquestioned loyalty. In return, they get nothing. The billionaire cannot afford to help with their legal bills despite his legal bills all being paid by donations,” one person wrote.

Plenty of People Agreed

Plenty of people shared the aforementioned commenter’s view. “What made these people think that they were going to be any different from all the other people Trump has stiffed over past decades?” one person asked. “Of course he’ll throw them under the bus. They should be well aware,” another said.

The Secret Service Agents

Others asked for clarification on matters of law and presidential perks. “I am genuinely concerned about the Secret Service agents who were assigned to Trump. In the event that Trump is incarcerated, will these agents be required to accompany him during his time in jail?” one person asked. “Based on what I have heard and read from lawyers, yes. The Secret Service is responsible for protecting him regardless. Personally, I think it is a rip-off for the taxpayer and he should be forced to forfeit such protections and all former presidential perks as should any other former president in a similar situation,” another replied.

Trump Has Ruined the Republican Party

Republicans gave their thoughts too. One person wrote: “I am a Republican. Trump has ruined my party. He has no chance of winning. None – because of people like me. There [are] enough of us who will vote [Democrat] no matter who it is – Biden, or someone else, if Trump is the nominee. But I would vote for any Republican other than Trump. Any of them.”

Plenty of religious leaders claim to have some form of “divine protection” but not many of them are brave enough to attempt to prove it. One pastor, though, did possess that courage – or stupidity – and he locked himself in a cage of lions to make his point.
