Echoes of Trump: The Global Tremors from His Foolishness

Donald Trump, a name that elicits a wide range of reactions, has undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the global stage. Even before his tenure as the 45th President of the United States, Trump was a figure synonymous with controversy and divisiveness. His bombastic persona and unfiltered communication style have often drawn both fervent supporters and vehement critics. From his early days as a real estate mogul and television personality, Trump’s actions and statements have sparked numerous debates, capturing the world’s attention. Beyond his policy decisions, how he conducts himself has often raised eyebrows and led to his reputation as a figure of ridicule and skepticism among the international community. From his infamous Twitter insults to his propagation of falsehoods and conspiracy theories, several factors have contributed to Trump being viewed as a subject of jest by many beyond America’s borders.

His Stance on the War in Ukraine

Trump has made himself a laughing stock on the international stage thanks to his opinions about the war in Ukraine. According to the former leader, if he is re-elected to office, he would be able to end the war between Russia and Ukraine in just one day. Not only that, he believes that had he won the election back in 2020, the entire war would never have happened in the first place! These sorts of comments have helped international leaders and dignitaries to see just how out of touch Trump is when it comes to the actual reasons behind the conflict, and instead is just using it as a promotional piece for his re-election campaign.

Conspiracy King

Trump seems to love a conspiracy theory or, at the very least, sensational information backed by little to no source or studies. Often citing numerous claims throughout his presidency and beyond as fact, one of the most laughable was in an interview in 2019 when he claimed, “They say … [the noise from windmills] … causes cancer.” His Twitter account was often littered with remarks and accusations like this – that is, until Twitter banned his account.

Trump’s Twitter account has been a source of entertainment and outrage to many. Already prone to controversial statements before the presidential race even began, when elected and using the official @POTUS handle, the offensive, vague, and sometimes downright weird tweets continued.

One of the most famous instances was “covfefe”, the strange, supposed typo at the end of one of Trump’s tweets that got the world talking.

The former president is also a fan of the caps lock key and many exclamation marks, which makes it all the more concerning when he seemingly used his Twitter account to engage in international relations. Trump sent this tweet to the president of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, which could have cited war between the two countries and made him look like a colossal idiot to the rest of the world. Over his presidency, Trump insulted over 598 people, places, and things on Twitter.

Twitter Ban

In January 2021, Twitter permanently suspended Donald Trump’s account two days after the Capitol riots in a move many believed was a long time coming. Following a public poll on Twitter by the new owner and CEO Elon Musk in November 2022, Trump was reinstated on the platform but continues to use other social media instead.

Trump was also banned from other social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitch, and Snapchat. Although he was reinstated on Facebook and Instagram, he remains indefinitely banned on Snapchat and Twitch.

The True Winner of the 2020 Election

Donald Trump made a fool out of himself on the global stage by insisting that he was, in fact, the actual winner of the 2020 presidential election, which Democratic candidate Joe Biden won. Not only did this show the world how out of touch with reality he was, but it also had devastating consequences, including the January 6th Capitol riots.

He Tried to Buy Greenland

In 2019, Trump announced plans to buy Greenland, which is under the jurisdiction of Denmark, causing panic among its citizens. At the time, the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, called Trump’s plans “absurd.” Of course, Trump did the only reasonable thing and as a result, canceled his impending visit to the country, showing the world a very petty, playground response to the issue.

He’s Known as a Monumental Fibber

Many people were able to cotton on to the fact that Trump would be prone to spouting a lie or two. Or three. Or four. In fact, over his 4-year presidency, The Washington Post painstakingly kept track of every lie or piece of misinformation that Donald Trump publicly wrote or said. The total came to a staggering 30,573. To put things into perspective, that’s an average of 21 untruths daily!

Bathroom Memorials

Men’s bathrooms worldwide are now tributes to the former president, but it’s not much of a compliment. There are multiple restrooms out there that have Trump-themed urinals – we think you can guess where the people using them are requested to aim! One of the craziest examples is in New Zealand. It is massive, and the Donald Trump urinal is also 3D!
